Class A or B CDL driver to deliver concrete masonry products to construction clients within the Greater Boston Metro area. Responsible for transporting and unloading masonry and hardscape products from Gardner production facility, following established safety and service policy and procedure.
Duties include receiving and confirming delivery assignments from dispatch department, conducting standard safety vehicle inspection, and always assuring proper maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle, inside and outside. Operating 3 wheel forklift to unload and handle product with care. Use prescribed routes, considering traffic, road conditions, and DOT regulations.
Required skills include the ability to drive in all seasonal conditions, and the ability to make decisions within company guidelines. Requires good interpersonal skills for regular contact with customers and coworkers.
Must have manual transmission capabilities and auxiliary axle experience. Flatbed experience is preferred and you must have a minimum of 2 years CDL operator experience. Current DOT card and class 1D or higher Hydraulic Hoisting license required. Basic knowledge of construction and building material helpful. English language fluency and basic math skills needed.
This is a full time Monday through Friday position, with hours normally 4:30am to mid afternoon. Pay range starts at $28.00-30.00 per hour, with higher wage consideration based on experience. We look forward to assisting you with a great new job.
Maedon moved to Leominster from the Washington, DC area in 1986. She joined the family business in 1991 and purchased Appleseed when her mother retired in 1997. Maedon is actively involved in the community, sitting on the board of directors for Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce, Montachusett Recovery Center in Leominster, and the advisory board chair at Crystal House in Gardner. Maedon is passionate about the work she does, both in and out of the office.
She is the mother of two adult sons and “Brabra” to her favorite people, three young granddaughters. She makes sure there is always time for family and friends, travel, her flower gardens, and her Great Dane Hazel.
