We are seeking a great candidate for a 1st shift Set Up Mechanic. Temporary-to-Hire position for our client in Leominster. This is a union position upon hire!

• Summary
  Performs a variety duties to monitor and maintain the coating system and service and repair mechanical equipment.
• Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain all ovens, wash and coating tanks and make up units.
• Test coatings, using a lab moisture analyzer to make sure they are within specifications according to Technical Data Sheet.
• Utilize solvents (hazardous) in a safe manner, obey safety rules for hazardous material.
• Perform daily maintenance as required to maintain equipment, including AC Units and RO system
• Assist with maintaining and upgrading equipment using multiple skills as needed to do the job and keep production running.
• Assist maintenance staff with installation of pumps, gears, and mechanical drive systems when needed.
• Maintain records of maintenance and upkeep for future reference.
• Start up Thermal & UV Cure Room as needed.
• Organize and prepare paperwork for hazmat shipments.
• Process Purchase Orders for coatings, clean room materials and hazmat pick-ups as needed.
• Cross train in wash & coating room operations.
• Report any unsafe equipment or alleged injuries immediately to Department Manager or Supervisor.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations including lock-out/tag out procedures.
• Schedule time and projects for back up, set up people.
• lnstruct and train other personnel as needed.
• Ability and willingness to work during a 24-hour period, weekends and holidays if necessary.

• High school or trade school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the mechanical field.

Hours: 7:00AM-3:00PM
